Smart Connect SDK: A Connected Vehicle Platform for Automotive Telematics, Vehicle-to-Cloud Communication, and Intelligent Real-Time Fleet Monitoring

The rapid growth of connected vehicles has accelerated the adoption of intelligent transportation technologies that enable secure communication, real-time analytics, and cloud-based mobility services. This paper presents Smart Connect SDK, a cloud-native Connected Vehicle Platform developed to support Automotive Telematics, Vehicle-to-Cloud Communication, and Real-Time Vehicle Data Acquisition for modern fleet management applications. The proposed framework combines an in-vehicle DataLogger, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication, mobile applications, cloud computing infrastructure, and RESTful APIs to collect, process, and transmit vehicle telemetry, sensor information, GPS location, and onboard diagnostic data with high reliability. The platform incorporates secure authentication, end-to-end encrypted communication, device integrity verification, and role-based access control to strengthen Automotive Cybersecurity and protect connected vehicle data throughout the communication lifecycle. Cloud services provide scalable data storage, intelligent analytics, remote diagnostics, Predictive Maintenance, Fleet Monitoring, geolocation tracking, and Over-the-Air (OTA) Firmware Updates, enabling proactive vehicle maintenance while reducing operational downtime and maintenance costs. The modular and extensible architecture supports seamless integration with heterogeneous vehicle ecosystems and emerging mobility technologies, including electric vehicles, autonomous driving systems, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) Communication. Performance analysis demonstrates that the proposed Smart Connect SDK achieves secure real-time vehicle connectivity, efficient cloud communication, scalable fleet operations, and reliable data management for intelligent transportation systems. The proposed Connected Vehicle Platform offers a robust, scalable, and future-ready solution that enhances driver safety, operational efficiency, fleet intelligence, and data-driven decision-making in next-generation connected mobility environments..
